The town of Zalakaros invites you to a unique culinary programme. The Vineyard Picnic on 8-9 November offers typical Martin Day events in collaboration with the nearby wineries at four different locations.
Everyone will find their favourite amusement, as the great variety of programmes provides entertainment for children and grown-ups alike. The Vineyard Picnic is accompanied by a vinery bus free of charge, meaning you can taste the best of the region without any complications. Goose feast, oven-baked bread with goose fat, wine tasting and pálinka making demonstration are all among the programmes.

8 NOVEMBER
Zalakaros, Gyógyfürdő tér (Spa Square):
- 4 pm – 10 pm: Artisan fair, with wineries stalls
- 5 pm – 7 pm: Martin Day creative corner
- 6 pm – 10 pm: Dance with the Lenner-Horváth Duo
- 6:20 pm: Show of the “Bottal fogó” folk dance ensemble
Zalamerenye, Pauline mill:
- 3 pm – 8 pm: Stall of Kányaváry Winery
- 4:30 pm – Interactive tour of the mill
- 7 pm: Introduction to pálinka (schnaps) and its production technology, with tasting. Price: 3,000 HUF/person, register in advance at tourinform@zalakaros.hu.
Garabonc, Kránicz Winery:
- 3 pm, 4 pm, 5 pm – Guided tour of the winery with tasting, for children mini grape must-tasting: the wine tasting consists of 4 different wines, visit to the winery and snacks and is 1500 HUF/person, the grape must-tasting for children: 1,000 HUF/person. The programme requires registration in advance, apply at tourinform@zalakaros.hu.

- 4 pm – 5 pm: Scissors playclub for children
- 2 pm – 5 pm: Blacksmith demonstration
- 2 pm – 8 pm: Stalls of the Kányaváry Winery
- 4 pm: Baking of oven-made bread, tasting it with goose fat: free of charge, but you need to register in advance at tourinform@zalakaros.hu.
- 5:30 pm: Bottle gourd or Mari isn’t like that (Saucy farmer comedy in one act): FREE OF CHARGE, but you need to register in advance at tourinform@zalakaros.hu.
